Amethyst
The Amethyst is a common crystal and its chemical makeup is Silicon and Oxygen which together makes up Silicon Dioxide (SiO2). What does this means, well the Amethyst is a combination of a alkaline earth metal and oxygen. Once it is birthed from the earth through geological features it is then considered to be Silicon Dioxide. This crystal in particular can be light to dark purple, sometimes mixed with citrine. The Amethyst crystal can appear in many different shapes and sizes. The Amethyst featured in the photograph above are transparent, sort of pointed Amethyst crystals, it can also come in the shape of a geode, cluster or single point.
